Teen Mom is an American reality television series that’s a spin-off of 16 and Pregnant and tackles the story of four original teenagers that first formed the television series as they try to navigate their very first year of motherhood. And aside from teenage motherhood, the series focuses on the themes of changing relationships, focusing on those points on family, friends, couples, and school. It also shows the struggles of these teenage girls who still have to through a needle’s eye to raise their kids. Teen Mom doesn’t only show the world that teenage girls also have what it takes to be called mothers, but it also emphasizes that teenage pregnancy and motherhood is not like putting on makeup and getting a new outfit for school. It’s not like you’d go clubbing from one flat to the other, or go to a house party and get drunk, it’s when you got knocked up for being senseless, no judgment at all. Yet there’s absolutely nothing to worry about it.
